Dr. J. Rameswar Rao’s journey is a reflection of perseverance, vision, and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of education. Raised in a small village in Telangana, his determination to pursue learning laid the foundation for an extraordinary entrepreneurial and philanthropic journey.

His passion for education and social progress eventually inspired the establishment of Meru International School — a school envisioned to prepare children not only for examinations, but for life itself.

Dr. Rao believes that the future belongs to learners who are adaptable, ethical, emotionally resilient, and equipped with future-ready skills. His vision for Meru combines strong traditional values with contemporary educational practices, empowering students to become responsible global citizens while staying grounded in integrity and purpose.

Education today must prepare children for a world that is evolving faster than ever before. At Meru International School, we believe that true learning goes beyond textbooks and examinations. It is about nurturing curiosity, character, confidence, and the ability to think independently. My journey in education has reinforced one belief — every child deserves an environment that values both academic excellence and strong human values. As a parent and educator, I strongly believe that schools must equip learners not only with knowledge, but also with emotional resilience, leadership qualities, creativity, and adaptability. This vision led to the development of M-CLAP — Meru Career Readiness, Leadership, and Academic Enrichment Programme — designed to help students become future-ready through experiential learning, life skills, leadership development, and career awareness from an early age. At Meru, we are committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire children to explore their potential, discover their passions, and confidently shape their own futures.
