SECOND EDITION OF MERU YOUTH PARLIAMENT

Meru Youth Parliament is an engaging, student-led simulation of the Indian parliamentary system, organized by the young minds of Meru International School. This interactive platform enables participants to step into the roles of lawmakers, take part in thoughtful debates, suggest solutions to real-world challenges, and gain insight into the democratic process through practical learning.

The event cultivates leadership, public speaking, and analytical skills while encouraging civic awareness and responsibility. Students represent diverse political parties and constituencies, prepare mock bills, and deliberate on current issues within a formal parliamentary setting.

By recreating the functioning of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Meru Youth Parliament strives to inspire the next generation of responsible citizens and future leaders, fostering a strong respect for democratic values and public service.

PRESIDENT

Shruthika Janga is the President of the Junior MYP Council, a dedicated and enthusiastic student leader who is passionate about creating a positive and engaging school environment. Known for her strong sense of responsibility and teamwork, she works closely with her peers and teachers to organize events, manage initiatives, and represent student voices effectively. With a keen interest in leadership, communication, and creativity, Shruthika strives to ensure that every student feels included and heard. She brings energy, commitment, and fresh ideas to her role, aiming to make the Junior MYP experience both meaningful and memorable for everyone.


VICE PRESIDENT

Kiyansh is an individual who enjoys staying active and exploring new opportunities. He has a strong passion for basketball, which has helped him develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the court. In addition to sports, he actively participates in Model United Nations (MUNs), where he enhances his communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Kiyansh also has a love for dogs, reflecting his caring and responsible nature. He has had some exposure to NGO work, which introduced him to the value of community service. Overall, he continues to grow into a well-rounded individual with diverse interests and a positive outlook.


SECRETARY GENERAL OF LOKSABHA

Tanav is a distinguished member of the Second Generation Youth Parliament, known for intellect, integrity, and leadership. Articulate and forward-thinking, he contributes meaningfully while inspiring his peers. His keen understanding of national issues, coupled with articulate expression and confident deliberation, enables him to contribute meaningfully to discussions. Committed to democratic values and public welfare, he commands respect among peers and inspires constructive dialogue. Disciplined, forward-thinking, and resolute, he embodies the qualities of a promising young statesman, dedicated to shaping ideas and decisions that reflect progress and responsibility. I'm eager to connect with students, educators, and professionals who share an interest in education, leadership development, and global issues.


SECRETARY GENERAL OF RAJYASABHA

Alabhya serves as the Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha, bringing a strong passion for parliamentary affairs and a solid foundation in debate and Model United Nations. With a keen interest in governance and legislative processes, Alabhya demonstrates a clear understanding of the functioning of the Upper House. Known for strong organizational abilities, leadership, and analytical thinking, Alabhya is committed to upholding the principles of parliamentary democracy and fostering meaningful and structured discussions.
